A workshop on Iqbal’s “Javednama” was organized by the Department of Philosophy on the 22nd December 2006 in the committee room. The coordinator of the event was Ms Ambreen Salahuddin (Department of Philosophy). The duration of the workshop was 3 hours and 23 faculty members from several Departments of LCWU participated in it. The workshop was organized in collaboration with Iqbal Academy Pakistan. The esteemed resource person was Mr. Khurram Ali Shafique, author of Iqbal: An Illustrated Biography. The objective of the workshop was to introduce Iqbal to the faculty of the university and to identify the overall picture of Iqbal’s thought with special relevance to the world today. Complementary copies of JavedNama and certificates of participation were given to the participants. A bouquet and university souvenir was presented to the honorable guest.
